Steve founded Singapore-based Steve Morris Associates in 1998 after a two-decade career as a management consultant. The company provides leadership development coaching and training to the most preeminent of global companies. Having devoted more than half his career to nurturing leadership in Asia, he is a pioneer of the leadership coaching and training field in Asia and has developed his own theories and models of effective leadership in Asia.

In the 1990s before founding his own company, Steve served as Asia Regional Director, International Partner, and Managing Director (Singapore) of Hay Management Consultants, a globally recognised human resources consulting firm. Prior to relocating to Asia, Steve conducted economic studies and public policy research for several Washington DC based think tanks.

CEOs refer to Steve as their personal friend and coach. He is regarded as "Asia's leadership guru" and his views are consistently sought by radio and television stations, magazines and newspapers. He is also a regular speaker at industry and business conferences including BusinessWeek Forums and Economist Industry and Government Roundtables.

Steve is also the author of several acclaimed personal leadership development books including Glorious Leadership!, Glorious Living!, Sowing the Seeds of Glorious Living! and The Boy who Climbed the Mountain.

Steve holds a MA Economics degree (1982) and BA International Relations degree (1980) both from George Mason University in Virginia, USA. He also holds a PhD, Integral Health, from the California Institute for Human Sciences.
